December Update

“Nothing is impossible with God!”. These are the words Gabriel spoke to Mary when she was first told she would mother the Savior of mankind. What an amazing word of faith! With Christmas season upon us, our school is reminded of these words and is seeing that, with God, our lives are pregnant with destiny as we walk in His ways.

This season, our dancers have already enjoyed outreach performances at the Children’s Center, Baptist Nursing Home, Word Explosion Tulsa, Trinity Baptist Church, Momentum Conference, and the Oklahoma City Rescue Mission. Many of our dancers are performing in their home churches throughout the city for Christmas programs. Our dancers return from Branson this week after a blessed opportunity to dance with Dino and Cheryl Kartsinokas in their Christmas spectacular. We thank them for sharing their show with us and look forward to working again with them in the future!

Dove Dance Ministry Troupe will be dancing, January 8th at 7:30 PM at the Civic Center Music Hall (main theatre), for the “A Night to Honor Israel” event. The keynote speaker will be Billy Brim in conjunction with the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem’s, Chuck King. The event is also supported by John Hagee and the Jewish Federation. Admission is free and we encourage everyone to come and be a part.

Congratulations to the following students who received DMA Oklahoma Scholarships this fall through auditions: Emily Canavesio—Jazz, Brittany Albertson—Ballet, Savannah Tardibono—Overall. Congratulations to Miss Emily who leaves this month to begin her dance contract with Walt Disney as a princess and dancer at Disneyworld. Miss Emily has been a part of our school for over four years. She recently attended Ballet Magnificat’s Summer Intensive where she was placed in level 10 (the highest level provided.) She is a beautiful dancer and person. We will miss her and pray the Lord will return her to Dove Dance again in the future.

Dove Dance will be closed from December 23rd through January 3rd. We will meet on December 21st and 22nd to make up for the recent closings due to weather closings.

Our Oklahoma City 14th Annual Recital will be Saturday, May 26th at the beautiful Oklahoma City University Main Theater. “For His Glory” will be a recital focused on the Glory of the Lord found throughout scripture. We are excited to bring back a recital format from previous years in which the audience will thoroughly enjoy.

From all of our Tulsa and Oklahoma City staff, have a very blessed Christmas!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Daphne
