Three of our senior company dancers will perform at their home church, Cherokee Hills Baptist Church on December 13th at 10:30 AM.
After the holidays, Dove Dance will be preparing three performances: our solo performance concert, “Love Stories” Dance Concert exploring the various types of life’s loves, and the classical ballet “The Gift”. Details on dates, locations, and tickets will be posted soon.
Our traveling company recently returned from Las Vegas where they enjoyed taking classes with Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, and other top choreographers. Winter Update
Our Christmas Program in December was a huge success. We had the honor of dancing for The Angel Tree Party for children with an incarcerated parent/s. It was a huge blessing for our dancers. We also performed our “Classic Christmas” for our family and friends. Over 60 dancers were cast in this year’s spectacular.
Congratulations are in order for Madison Pride who was accepted into the six week summer intensive in New York City at the American Ballet Theatre. Many would argue that this is the highest honor in training for aspiring ballerinas in the country and Madison is one of a few select young ladies graced with this invitation.
Marissa McCurtain won the acrobatic scholarship at DMA Oklahoma Chapter in November. We are also happy to announce that Savannah Tardibono recently won interview, talent, and onstage question/evening gown at the 2009 Oklahoma Junior Miss Scholarship Program. She was also recently accepted into the prestigious OCU Dance Performance Program with scholarship and received the overall audition scholarship for DMA Oklahoma Chapter in November. May the Lord continue to shine in our girls as their levels of influence increase for His purposes.
Six of our dancers performed in the Tulsa Ballet and Oklahoma City Ballet “Nutcrackers” this season: Emma Harris, Claire Harris, Madison Pride, Meghan Bradley, Allie Renner, Destiny Teitjen, and Emily Williams. Samantha Maloy, Jordan Eischen, Emily Canavesio, Savannah Tardibono, and Rachel Tice assisted in dance worship for their home churches this Christmas as well. We are still receiving positive feedback from our China Mission Trip in August. Thank you again to all of the families and businesses who supported our efforts.
Our enrollment for summer and fall ’09 will begin soon. We are expecting yet another full year and hope you will consider being a part. Check our website on occasion for new schedules and updates!
